North Coast Journal, Inc. is a publishing company that publishes the NORTH COAST JOURNAL, FERNDALE ENTERPRISE, HUMBOLDT INSIDER and many other publications in Humboldt County.
At the heart of NCJ, INC is the NORTH COAST JOURNAL - PEOPLE POLITICS AND ART: The Journal's editorial focus is on the current events, culture, arts, and entertainment of Humboldt County. Every week we provide news and entertainment features, opinion pieces, comprehensive calendars of events, cartoons, art reviews and previews, and more.
AWARD-WINNING JOURNALISM: Since its inception, the California Newspaper Publishers Association, the California First Amendment Coalition, the Humboldt County League of Women Voters, and the Society of Professional Journalist's Freedom of Information Committee have consistently recognized the Journal for its editorial excellence.
EVERY WEEK LIKE CLOCKWORK: The Journal is published every Thursday, 52 times a year, in tabloid format on newsprint.
UNMATCHED CIRCULATION: 18,000 copies of the Journal are distributed free of charge at over 460 locations in Humboldt County. The Journal's distribution presence is so strong that it rivals the circulation of the market's daily newspaper.
