Founded by the Musso family in Genoa in 1828, pioneer of containerization in the Mediterranean, it operates in the field of freight transport and logistics. Grendi offers its customers integrated logistics solutions for Central and Southern Italy using its own network of warehouses, terminals and truck services: from heavy load vehicles to small vans for last mile distribution, stevedoring activities and liner services dedicated to Ro/Ro and containerized cargo. A full range of services tailored to match customers' needs and designed for any type of goods, including temperature controlled, IMO and out of gage.
Grendi is the first Italian shipping line to change the company statute to become a Benefit Company in 2021, adding to the objectives of healthy economic results, its commitment to an environmentally and socially positive impact for employees, partners, customers, suppliers and communities where it operates.

Grendi's unique value proposition includes:

• Complete supply chain solutions from the north of Italy to Sardinia (FCL and Groupage);
• Southern and Central Italy transport and distribution services thanks to its own branches and third-party distribution networks;
• Regular liner services from Marina di Carrara (MS) to Cagliari and Olbia with owned ships and terminal activities.

The company can rely on a modern and fast process for handling goods with special trans-lifter equipment able to optimize space on ships and reduces unloading and loading times even for heavy goods and project cargo (marble, wood, industrial parts etc.).
