About
Sustainable Living Tasmania is a non-government organisation with 40 years experience working with Tasmania communities. We take a strengths-based, participatory, capacity-building approach to creating happy, healthy and sustainable Tasmanian communities.
We:
- Deliver community development programs focused on energy efficiency, food security, active transport, waste minimisation and other aspects that improve the economic, environmental and social sustainability of Tasmanian communities. We have particular expertise in working with low socioeconomic communities.
- Run Tasmania's Sustainable Living Festival
- Work with Tasmanian small businesses to improve their sustainability
- Have a community education and event centre and library in our office at level 1, 71 Murray Street, Hobart.
- Provide impartial advice to Tasmanians on all things sustainability
