About

MEDGAL was founded in February 1982 by its current owner, M.Sc. Eng. Józef Borowski.

Initially, the company focused on precision mechanics, but from the mid-1980s, it shifted its efforts towards the design, production, and sale of medical devices.

In the 1990s, we took a significant step forward by launching the production of our first orthopedic implants. What started as relatively simple designs soon evolved into increasingly complex and technologically advanced solutions.

By the mid-1990s, MEDGAL's design and technology department embarked on intensive research and development aimed at creating innovative intramedullary locking nails for the treatment of long bone fractures, as well as the surgical instruments needed for their implantation.

In 2020, MEDGAL reached a new milestone by becoming the first Polish company to offer a complete, 100% Polish-made total hip replacement implant. This pioneering achievement further solidified our leadership in the medical device industry, demonstrating our continued commitment to innovation, quality, and fully domestic production.
Since the establishing, MEDGAL is still developing the activity by introduction on the market new products and new design and know-how solutions. To achieve our goals we invest our capital in high class tool machines and processing devices which allow us to produce the very highly precise products.
