Established by Les Mitchell in 1947 under the name Mitchells, the business underwent a transformation in 1972 when Kevin Lane took over, leading to its rebranding as Mitchell-Lane & Co. In 1987, the company further expanded, becoming the exclusive owner of all the Hair Mart stores in Perth. In 2014, the business underwent a rebranding and is now known as WA Hair & Beauty.
