The Capricornian is a 100% member owned credit union and is the only local customer owned financial institution in Central Queensland. We offer customers a full range of flexible and competitive financial products and services. We also help to sustain and grow our community groups by working closely with charities, organisations and clubs through sponsorships, donations, fundraising and volunteering.

The Capricornian has evolved from a small parish credit union established in a suburb of Rockhampton in 1959 into a full service financial institution with eight conveniently located branches. These branches are run by people in the community just like you. Our people are locals who believe in fairer banking for their community. They understand what it's like to pay bills, own a home or investment property, raise children, save for holidays and plan for retirement.

Our members are local members of your community too. They need to save money and borrow money for all sorts of things. They are all in different stages of their financial lives and we have the products, services, knowledge and experience to help each and every one of them.
