About
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Douglas County is a nonprofit organization that trains, empowers and inspires volunteer advocates to improve the lives of children that have been abused and neglected. In Douglas County there are currently 1800 children in foster care. CASA for Douglas County currently serves over 500 of those children with the help of just over 300 volunteers. CASA volunteers ensure that children in foster care have a voice in the child welfare system. The goal is that children are placed in safe, loving homes where they can thrive.
