Kardinia Health offers general medical, allied health, psychology, nursing and specialist services to the greater Geelong region. We offer medical, nursing and medical receptionist training with a strong focus on primary care research conducted in partnership with Deakin University and Barwon Health. Our Respiratory Clinic delivers assessment and testing for a range of respiratory type illnesses with the priority for coronavirus. Our specialist services include sexual health, travel advice and vaccination,mental health & alcohol and other drugs, transgender health, acupuncture and chronic disease management.
Our research priorities are around the role of primary care within the broader health system and how we can enhance the delivery of care across the health sector. Current projects include health literacy, transgender health, impact of COVID 19 in primary care and use of perspex screens at patient reception
