The Research agency in Health and life sciences (ATRSSV) is an Algerian public institution of administrative nature (EPA) established by executive decree N°.12-20of January 09th, 2012 formerly named National Agency of Health Research Development (ANDRS) in abbreviation founded in 1995 in accordance to executive decree N°. 95-40 of January 28th 1995. However, that was physically formed only since 1996.
Its primary vocation is the development of cross-sectorial research axis adopted by the Health Research National Program (PNRS).
Its headquarters, initially set in Algiers, was transferred to Oran following executive decree N°.95-445 of December 22, 1995. These headquarters have for location a pavilion at the city of Research (former IAP) at the University of Oran. The internal organization is set up by interministerial order of August 30, 2012.
The ATRSS is under the supervision of the General Directorate of Scientific Research and Technological Development of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. A Director General appointed by presidential decree leads the institution. Also planned in its organizational chart the positions of Secretary General, four (04) heads of departments and fifteen (15) heads of services.
The planned Departments are
-Research projects Programming Department (DPPR)
-Funding Research Projects Department (DFPR)
-Monitoring Research Projects Department (DSPR)
-International Relation, Communication and Information Department.
