About

Quinn Transport was started in 1966 by Rodney Quinn with one Ford truck which he drove himself servicing Cleve and districts with groceries and general goods from Port Lincoln, later expanding into a fuel agency bringing fuel to Cleve and delivering to farmers across the district. Soon after this freight started to come out of Adelaide, so the business direction changed and expanded rapidly.
Over time Quinn Transport diversified into tipper & livestock Transport. Quinn Transport was one of the first companies to implement the use of road trains on Eyre Peninsula.
Over the years we have worked with companies such as Australian Barley Board, Australian Wheat board and later Viterra to cart country silo grain to the Port Lincoln port, servicing all parts of Eyre Peninsula as well as expanding into the cartage of quarry and mining products.
We have also been instrumental in assisting with the development of new mining ventures, through the cartage of raw materials for roads, railway lines & concrete plants. All projects we have taken on have been completed on time, allowing our customers to proceed on schedule.
Today Quinn Transport directly employs 50 people and a further 25 subcontractors, runs a fleet of 25+ highway trucks, 100 trailers & dollies and delivery trucks, servicing the grain and livestock business across Eyre Peninsula & South Australia
Recently we have further diversified into the cartage of waste with a fleet of Walking Floor trailers.
We have continued to service the Eyre Peninsula through the cartage of all goods required by business and farmers throughout the region with a diverse fleet & versatile work force.
