The Cambridge and District Humane Society (SPCA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and providing shelter and comfort to the needy animals of the Cambridge and District community in Ontario, Canada. The Society is totally supported by the generosity of the community it serves. The Society depends on volunteers to assist in fulfilling its mandate.
The Cambridge and District Humane Society (SPCA) cares for homeless animals in need of temporary shelter. It looks for suitable new homes and provides education to the community on how to care for the newly adopted pet. The Society also acts as a temporary shelter for lost animals while awaiting return to their rightful owners. As well, the Cambridge and District Humane Society responds to and investigates allegations of cruelty to and neglect of animals.
