RICO Lighting & Electrical Services was established in Montreal in 1984 by Subhash Sudan, a licensed master electrician. He set up his business from his home to provide for his young family, and he soon made a name for himself as a knowledgeable and dependable tradesman. In 1994, he moved his family and his business to Mississauga, Ontario where RICO is still located. Today, Subhash proudly operates RICO alongside his son, Shiv Sudan.
Over the years, RICO has grown exponentially almost entirely through customer referrals because we have always maintained the core values Subhash began with: quality work and service you can count on.
RICO is proudly part of PLASMA (Professional Lighting and Sign Management Companies of America), which was created to serve customers seeking national lighting and sign management services. As a collective, we know the best service is performed by independent companies who take pride in their work, put their reputation behind every project, and understand local laws and codes. Through the PLASMA network, RICO can provide responsive, affordable, one-call lighting service for multi-site clients throughout Canada and the US.
