About
De katholieke Nicolaasschool behoort tot de zeventien scholen binnen de Stichting "Lek en IJssel", een stichting voor katholiek, bijzonder neutraal, openbaar en protestants christelijk onderwijs. De school is gebouwd in 1914. Zij was gevestigd aan de Molenstraat in de dorpskern van IJsselstein. In 1973 verhuisde de school naar de wijk Groenvliet. In 1985 is de school verbouwd omdat de kleuterafdeling integreerde. In 2000 werd het achtste lokaal aangebouwd. De laatste verbouwingsfase vond plaats in 2004. In 2010 is de laatste verbouwingsfase voltooid.
