CarbExplore Research develops proprietary enzymes for the manufacture of functional carbohydrates. The core technology is based on identifying novel glucansucrase, glucantransferase, inulosucrase, and beta-galactosidase enzymes. Renewable materials such as sugar, starch and lactose are converted into high-margin carbohydrates with health and physical benefits. The alpha-glucans find their use as prebiotics with texturizing properties in foods and cosmetics. Our product portfolio consists of carbohydrate-based stevia sweeteners, anti-staling agents for baking, rheology modifiers, human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) and galacto-and fructooligosaccharides (GOS-FOS).

To support carbohydrate development, an extensive package of carbohydrate analysis and structure elucidation is offered.
