The world of Vincent van Gogh and his work comes to life in the new Vincentre. Modern audiovisual resources lead you around the old Nuenen in which Van Gogh lived and worked.
You can see how the painting of ‘The Potato Eaters‘ came into existence in a most amazing way. As you walk through the Vincentre you will see how the palette of colours, that later on made him so famous, had its origins in Nuenen. Hear inhabitants of the day talk about him; Vincent painted the Nuenen people and wrote about them to his brother Theo. An exciting experience for young and old. Audiotour is available in 8 languages.

Outdoor Museum
After experiencing so much in the Vincentre you will want to witness for yourself what Van Gogh would originally have seen. You can walk or cycle around Nuenen and its surroundings. Special information columns en route will tell you all you want to know about the various places he painted or drew. Ask in the Vincentre for a route guide.
