Southern Waste Solutions (SWS) is an established leader in Tasmania's waste sector, jointly owned by Clarence City, Sorell, Tasman, and Kingborough Councils.

SWS services 50% of Tasmania's population across the Break O'Day, Brighton, Clarence City, Glamorgan Spring Bay, Glenorchy City, Hobart City, Huon Valley, Kingborough, Sorell, Southern Midlands, and Tasman Local Government Areas.

We operate the largest and most modern network of waste management facilities in Tasmania, including the Copping landfill, Copping C-Cell, and Lutana waste transfer station.

SWS is strategically placed to manage waste from across Southern Tasmania when other facilities reach end of life in the coming years.

We are taking a lead role in the important and necessary transition to a future where waste is reduced and diverted away from landfill and into innovative, value-added products.

We are committed to driving community education and behavioural change to achieve this vision.

SWS is committed to working in partnership with industry and government to achieve a solution that is tailored to the unique needs of individual businesses, including both feedstock providers and end users.
