About
Established in 1958 the club has a proud history having won a number of Northern and State Championships making it the most successful Launceston based team. In 2017, the Club had over 100 playing members and fielded 4 men's and a 2 women's teams competing all across the state of Tasmania.
Formally known as Launceston City Soccer Club, In 2013, the Club changed its name to be know as Launceston City FC at the same time as being granted a license to play in the statewide National Premier League competition, along with 7 other clubs from Launceston, Hobart and Devonport.
LCFC also have a strong association with our Junior Club, the Westside Devils, which currently has 350 registered players. Both clubs are based at Prospect Vale's TassieCare Park, which is situated along Westbury Road adjacent to the Australian Italian Club. TassieCare Park is the location for all home games and training for all teams.
