The Project Suicide

The Project Suicide (TPS) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to mental health and suicide awareness, research, and prevention in Pakistan. Since its founding on June 25, 2022, TPS has gained international recognition for its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Among 3,000 global initiatives, TPS was selected as one of the top 15 projects for the prestigious "Under the Starry Sky" program, organized by the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), SpareBank1 SMN, and the United Nations Association Norway. As part of this program, TPS members received advanced training from PMI Switzerland, further enhancing their ability to create meaningful change. This dedication to the SDGs also earned it a coveted place in Catalyst 2030, a global community focused on driving sustainable development.

SDGs and TPS

The project will contribute to Goal 3 of the SDGs which states "To Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. Target 3.4 is: By 2030, reduce by one-third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being. Within Target 3.4, the suicide rate is an indicator (3.4.2)."
