About
University of Maragheh is a public university in the city of Maragheh, in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. The University Started officially on May 30, 2009, in Maragheh, a beautiful city in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran, Maragheh University is a state-funded University that has 4 faculties and 14 departments. Coming from different parts of Iran, approximately 3000 students attend Maragheh university. In addition, famous enough in the region, Maragheh University enjoys computer sites, modern facilities, and laboratories. Currently, there are two officially established faculties in the university: Faculty of Basic Sciences and Faculty of Agriculture. Two other faculties—Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Humanities—have been recently founded. The Agriculture Institute of Maragheh was founded in 1987-under the auspices of Tabriz University.
