Plumis is the manufacturer of multi award-winning Automist fire suppression systems.

Automist, named in the annual TIME's Best Inventions list, is the only system of its kind. Unique in the way it intelligently detects fires and targets their source. It uses minimal water compared to a traditional sprinkler, up to 90% less.

Ideal for retrofit when sprinklers demands too great a water supply or a tank. It is designed to minimise disruption during installation and is BS 8458:2015 compliant. It also meets the fire performance of BS 9252.

Winner of numerous international awards, Automist is trusted over 12,000 homes worldwide to meet building regulations. Third party certification by BRE Global have established Plumis Ltd have complied with the Quality Management Systems requirements of ISO 9001 for the design, manufacture and supply of watermist fire suppression systems.

Notable wins for Automist include the James Dyson Award in 2009, the system was also selected by the British Library as one of the top 15 British inventions of the last decade, and in 2023 was a winner at the New York Product Design Awards.
