苏州工业园区职业技术学院（英文简称 IVT ）是为配合苏州工业园区开发，更好地服务区域外资企业，由新加坡总理吴作栋先生亲自提议、经江苏省人民政府批准设立的一所新型高等职业技术学院。自 1997 年 12 月创立以来，学院积极借鉴新加坡、德国等发达国家先进的职教经验，确立"用明天的技术，培训今天的学员，为未来服务"的办学宗旨，形成了以股份制办学、校企合作、国际交流为特色的办学风格。
