About

The success story of KDS garments echoes the success story of Bangladesh's RMG sector.

The company was founded by its current chairman, AL-HAJJ KHALILUR RAHMAN. He envisioned that to be successful it is obligatory to develop the economic situations of the mass population. With this vision, he stepped into the manufacturing industry that would broaden the entire job market capacity. In 1983, Mr. Rahman launched KDS garments, one of the first of its kind in Bangladesh.

The garments wing of KDS has now ventured into four extensive manufacturing plants with a workforce of almost 25,000 full-time employees and with a sewing capacity of 35-40 million pieces per year. Our other ventures are KDS Garments Industries LTD, KDS IDR LTD, Canvas Garments Private LTD, KDS Fashion LTD and KDS Apparel LTD.

We produce 40 million pieces annually, of which 75% are knitwear and 25% woven wear. Our product line includes Menswear, womenswear, swimwear, casual wear, sportswear, activewear, sleep & underwear etc.

We have a separate designer team where each designer is an expert in its category in order to give our customers the highest level of support. They work very closely with the product development team based in Chattogram in order to execute our customers' requirements in the best possible way. We also have a design and product development center in the UK, situated just north of London.

We have equipped ourselves with all the necessary compliance certification like GRS, GOTS, SEDEX, FSC, ISO14000 etc.

Since our inception, KDS has partnered up with major retail chains in the United States and Europe. Stores such as Target, TESCO, Walmart, George, H&M, Macy's, Tesco, Hama, Kmart, and Sears etc.
