About
Anula Vidyalaya is an exclusive Buddhist girl school founded in 1941 by Dr. E. W. Adikaram. Compared to its modest beginning with 38 pupils and 5 teachers, the school after 74 years of service to the nation has grown to over 5000 pupils guided by over 170 teachers on the staff.
The school is listed among the National Schools, which come under the administration of the Ministry of Education, thus has direct funding from the ministry.
The school provides education to female students from Grade 1 to 13 in Sinhala and English languages. It also provides Mathematics, Science, Commerce,Technical & Arts fields for the Advance Level Examinations. The school is fully equipped with modern classrooms, multiple science laboratories and computer laboratories, swimming pool complex and ground for sports activities.
