The Asian Paints Causeway is a 100% subsidiary of the multinational Asian Paints Group which operates in 14 countries and has 26 paint manufacturing facilities in the world servicing consumers in over 60 countries.
Asian Paints Group has come a long way since its small beginnings in 1942 and emerged as India's preferred paint brand in 1967. It has been India's largest paint company for almost 50 years and is among the Top 10 decorative paint companies worldwide.
Asian Paints Causeway was established with the merger of two leading paint manufacturing companies in Sri Lanka namely Asian Paints Sri Lanka and Causeway Paints Lanka (Pvt) Ltd in 2021. In 1999, Asian Paints Sri Lanka was established as the first overseas acquisition of the Asian Paints Group and Causeway Paints Lanka (Pvt) Ltd was a Singapore and Sri Lanka joint venture established in 1994. Asian Paints International Pvt Ltd acquired Causeway Paints Lanka (Pvt) Ltd in 2017 and continues its excellence under the multinational Asian Paints Group. With the merger, the company emerged as the #1 Paint Company in Sri Lanka.
