About

The Sayed Kadhem Al Durazi & Sons Co. BSC (c) started its activity as a small brick factory, founded by the current Chairman, Mr. Sayed Kadhem Mohsin Al Durazi. In 1963 he owned two trucks and started a transportion business. In 1970, the fleet was made bigger when 3 more trucks joined the ranks. In 1972, he added a few heavy machines, thereby laying the foundation for the Sayed Kadhem Al Durazi Contracting Establishment, which was formed in the year 1974.

Thereafter the company started growing and a trading department was added to the group, which started with the agency of Sehan Motor Company. This later gave a way to the Daewoo Motor Company.

At present, the company can boast being the agents of Doosan – Daewoo Heavy industries, one of the largest heavy equipment sellers in the region, Soosan Heavy Industries, Cheng Gong China and such other heavy equipment manufacturing giants.

The company laid the foundation stone for an equipment hiring company in the year 2003. The growth of the division was so tremendous that, "Al Haidariya Heavy Equipment Hiring", is now a name synonymous with equipment hiring in the region.

Grand Tiger for Industrial and Mechanical, Universal Foundations, Universal Ready Mix Concrete, Universal Block Factory, Universal Agriculture, Universal Real Estate, Single Point for Building Materials, Single Point Aluminium, and Single Point Carpentry, are further development of the company.

Sayed Kadhem Al Durazi& Sons Co. BSC (c), continues its Development march toward a better world, and has been contributing remarkably to the country's growth, joining hands with the Ministry of Works & Housing, Bahrain Petroleum Company BSC, Aluminium Bahrain BSC (c), GPIC, Ministry of Municipalities and Agricultural Affairs and a lot of other organisations.

In 2005 the company opened its first branch outside Bahrain in Sultanate Of Oman, which now became the main business outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. The globalization of SKD expanded and new branches have been opened in Iraq later in 2016
