About

Gyeonggi-do Institute for Global Education (GIGE) is a division of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education. We provide training, mentoring, support, and specialized courses for educational professionals and students around Gyeonggi Province in South Korea.

We do plenty of educational research here at GIGE and constantly strive to promote outstanding teaching practices within and outside the EFL classroom. We publish much from this research, from our in-house created media for our teacher training programs to more casual blog posts on our website.

GIGE consists of highly motivated and passionate educators and administrators. Our training research supervisors all have at least 10+ years of teaching experience in Korean public schools, and our training instructors come highly experienced as well, with the majority of them holding at least a master's in education and are well-versed in global and Korean culture, languages, and the education systems.
