ami's technology comes from years of research in magnetometry in the aerospace and defense fields and was born in the CEA LETI (French Energy & Alternative Energies Commission and its electronics laboratory) considered the world's most innovative research institution, according to Reuters.

After 4 years of incubation, the company was created in 2014.

The company combines state-of-the-art expertise in embedded systems, algorithms & signal processing applied to magnetism, with a strong expertise in user experiences.

Since 2019, ami brought to market two product lines. One under the iskn brand dedicated to creatives, teachers & remote workers. Called Repaper, this product is a collaboration with Faber-Castell of Germany. The second developed in collaboration with Bandai Namco Entertainment, Tori, is a disruptive playful learning platform to stimulate 21st century skills of 5- to 8-year-old kids.

Acquired by BIC Group in Sept. 2022 to become a leader in human expression, this industrial backing will provide ami with exceptional resources to achieve its ambition of setting a new Human Machine Interaction technology standard.
