The resources compass -- piloted in Camden County at http://camdencountyresourcecompass.org, is a dynamic, mobile ready, interactive tool that really allows community members to connect to needed resources in their community. All too often resource directories are outdated, incorrect, or simply scraped from publicly available data. Individuals seeking help are left with dead phone numbers, programs with no slots, websites that don't work on their phones (often their only way to access information) and barrier after barrier at the time when they most need help.

The resource compass changes this dynamic. With a dynamic, automatically updating backend and a user-friendly mobile presence, the resource compass knows, in real time, what slots and available at a shelter, youth program, or other service, and helps connect residents to real resources in real time, when they need it most.

This is a replicable, scalable model that can solve a real problem for communities across the country.
