IIAR is recognized throughout industry and government internationally as the authoritative source of information about ammonia refrigeration and natural refrigerants. As your advocate, IIAR works pro-actively to promote members'​ interests before regulatory bodies, including EPA, OSHA, and various code-writing authorities in the United States and worldwide.

Our members represent highly respected companies from all over the world. They make up the collaborative voice of the natural refrigeration industry. Membership and committee service enhance the natural refrigeration publications produced by IIAR for end users, contractors, engineers, equipment manufacturers and others in the industry.

IIAR members share their collective knowledge and experience on committees and task forces to produce consensus documents that address various aspects of ammonia refrigeration. Each IIAR committee or task force has broad industry representation, including manufacturers, design engineers, contractors, end users, academics, scientists and/or trainers. IIAR maintains the only on-line searchable Natural Refrigeration eLibrary. This includes the latest Technical Papers, Bulletins, Standards and the Ammonia Data Book.
