Balanced Body® believes that movement can change people's lives. Founded in 1976, the company was the first to substantially update Joseph Pilates'​ equipment with state-of-the-art engineering, materials and technology. Ken Endelman, the company's CEO and founder, has been awarded 26 U.S. patents for his inventions.
 
Headquartered in Sacramento, Calif., where all its equipment is designed and manufactured, the company actively promotes Pilates to the fitness industry, the medical profession and the media. The company established the 1-800-PILATES service and online Studio Finder to help the public locate instructors and studios in their area. This free service refers more than 1,000 clients a month to instructors and studios internationally.
