Abacus Group is one of the leading distributors of electronic components in Europe, with directly owned companies located in every major European electronics market. Established in 1972, the Group has local offices in 11 countries across Europe employing in excess of 1,100 staff.

The Abacus Group offers electronic component distribution, own brand product, specialist distribution of displays, embedded computing and wireless communications, and value added services including electromechanical sub contract manufacture. The Group's philosophy is to offer an alternative approach to its competitors by focusing on highly personalised local service and strong technical support. This approach provides an efficient and effective service through the provision of quality products and support from a highly motivated workforce.

In addition to the 44 local sales offices and five local warehouses across Europe, the Group has an office in Asia providing its European customers with a robust supply chain to their manufacturing operations in the Far East.
