About
The Volkswagen Chattanooga manufacturing facility began production in April 2011. We currently assemble the Volkswagen Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport and all-electric ID.4. In January 2019, our plant was announced as Volkswagen's North American base for manufacturing electric vehicles, representing an $800 million investment and 1,000 new jobs.
Volkswagen Chattanooga currently employs approximately 5,000 team members.
