Founded in 1974 by Ken Corneau under the name ‘East Hartford Welding', the family-owned company employs an exceptional team of craftsman and delivers excellence in all areas of steel fabricating and erecting. United Steel operates a 200,000 square-foot automated fabrication facility in East Hartford, CT and delivers exceptional quality while adhering the highest standards of safety. Its award-winning portfolio includes commercial and industrial projects throughout New England.
United Steel is ASIC certified for both the fabrication of Steel Building Structure and Simple Bridges, and is an AISC Advanced Certified Steel Erector as well. A Lean Manufacturer, United Steel provides both fabricating and erecting services which ensures close coordination and increased efficiencies for their clients.
