Viglietti Motors, started in 1972 by the 7 brothers Viglietti, was the official Ferrari & Maserati importer from 1996 until +-2016. Before then Viglietti was home to Lancia and Ferrari as the local Cape Town dealer.
Around 1996 following Lancia's decision to stop producing RHD and Ferrari Spa's acquiring of Maserati, Viglietti was elevated to importer status, with Viglietti taking over all matters of Ferrari & Maserati. Since then Viglietti Motors was sold and the name changed to Scuderia South Africa with Maserati South Africa becoming a separate entity.

Since then one of the 7 brothers, Carlo Viglietti, has continued with the legacy focusing on the bespoke personal Italian 'la familia' service, under the banner of Carlo Viglietti Motors, that they were known for.
