About

Positive Life Kenya (PLK) is a non-profit organization in Kenya with a mission to break the cycle of poverty by promoting active participation of communities through education and advocacy to build a healthy environment for children to thrive and create lasting change. Since 2010, PLK has been working with communities and the government to raise awareness about the importance of children's rights and providing support to children in Kenya. We work with communities, local partners, and the government to design development and humanitarian programs to meet the needs of vulnerable and marginalized children and their communities to be free from poverty.


We believe every child matters and we put children at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to ensure all children live life in all its fullness. We work with children to address problems affecting them. Our goal is to educate them about their rights and empower them to become advocates against the injustices they face. To achieve this, we always strive to reach the forgotten slums and hard-to-reach areas to find solutions to education, health, food, water, and sanitation challenges.


Because children can only thrive in healthy communities, our work is holistic and impacts not only the lives of children but also their families, households, and communities. This ensures that children are well-natured, supported, and taken care of by building a healthy environment for them to thrive and create lasting change.


We educate their parents and communities to understand that children have rights to protection, education, and a better future. We work with young people and support them to become self-reliant and live free from poverty, through vocational training and business skills courses and specialized support such as counseling for mental health and wellbeing support .
