Cairo Oil and soap is an Egyptian company with great heritage. It has been established in 1963 as a state owned company as a manufacturer of edible oil, ghee, soap and animal feed.

In year 2001 the company was privatized and listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange. Afterwards, in July 2005, the shares were offered for sale and Consukorra acquired 80% of and accordingly Mr. Mohamed Ayman Korra became the CEO and chairman of the company ever since.
The company has three production facilities located in key district areas in Greater Cairo, in addition to the head office which is located in down town Cairo. The factories are:
• El Ayat factory for the refinery of edible oil & for the production of vegetable ghee.
• Ghamra factory for the production of luxury soap, toilet soap, laundry soap & liquid soap.

The new management took charge, the company has been undergoing a major restructuring plan to turnaround the company from an inefficient one to a renowned company with distinguished brands in the market.
