Lonestar Cell is the leading GSM communication company in Liberia that has been operating since June 2001.

Lonestar Cell is a subsidiary of MTN which is a leading international telecommunication that operates in 21 countries in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. We have worked to expand our telecommunications portfolio to become one of the leading operators in some of the most exciting telecom markets.

The breadth of our operational and technological expertise across emerging and high growth telecommunications markets means we are continually breaking new ground. Our aim is to exploit the potential mobile technology gives us to improve the quality and range of services we offer to our customers. With this in mind, we continue to build and benefit from alliances with leading telecommunications equipment companies to further strengthen our services. Today, we have particularly strong relationships with Ericsson, Alcatel and Siemens.

Our largest division is mobile telecommunication. We own and operate GSM mobile networks in South Africa, Zambia, Swaziland, Uganda, Rwanda, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon, Nigeria, Benin, Ghana, Liberia, Cote D'Ivoire, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Syria, Yemen, Iran, Sudan, Afghanistan and Cyprus.
