The National Bank of Equatorial Guinea (BANGE) was founded in 2006, and is Equatorial Guinea's only financial institution to have its headquarters in the country. Since 2012 strategic policies geared towards restructuring, planning, trade policy and achieving an overseas presence, have allowed BANGE to continually improve year-on-year and register double-digit growth.
BANGE has established 22 branches with over 450 employees and has the largest presence in Equatorial Guinea. Recently, BANGE entered a new phase of development by establishing a representative office in Spain. Also in the months to come, it will open its own independent banks and financial institutions in Cameroon.
BANGE is an innovative bank. Its dynamic approach to launching new products for its customers is tailored to their various levels of income. BANGE's motto is ‘A Bank for All' and its products are aimed at all sectors, such as private customers, SMEs and large companies operating in Equatorial Guinea – including the large oil companies.
Investment in technology is vital to BANGE. It has invested in most up-to-date banking hardware in the country, all complemented by a modern internet banking system.
The most important asset of the National Bank of Equatorial Guinea is its employees, with 98% of them being Equatoguineans. BANGE makes a special effort to promote the professional and personal development of its employees through regular training programmes, many of these programmes conducted overseas. BANGE has also carried out important work improving its human resources, providing all the tools and infrastructure necessary to create a culture of high efficiency.
