ABOUT PINK AFRICA FOUNDATION

Pink Africa Foundation is a non-profit charity organization and a member of the Union for International
Cancer Control (UICC) and the Nigerian Cancer Society (NCS).

In the last five years, we have
been at the forefront of the fight against the menace called cancer in Africa.

Cancer,
especially breast cancer, is the second leading cause of mortality among women.

One of our annual projects is the Calabar Go Pink Day, which has successfully been held in the
last five years. This is the biggest cancer awareness walk, advocacy and free screening in Nigeria, with over 3000 people participating each year.

The theme for the 2022 Calabar Go Pink Day was BOLD IN PINK – HALT BREAST CANCER NOW.

It is a clarion call for everyone, corporate organizations, well-meaning individuals, and the
government to support the fight against breast cancer in both men and women that have already been diagnosed with it and also encourage the masses in taking bold steps that will ensure early
detection and prompt treatment.
