About

SOS Children's Villages in Benin is a non-profit organization specialized on care, prevention and advocacy for the fulfilment of the rights of children without parental care and those at risk of losing it. Our work is primarily guided by the following important international frameworks specifically relating to children: Benin national laws, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), the UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through direct essential care, capacity building and advocacy, we are strengthening communities' capacities to take care of their children, as well as providing direct support to most vulnerable persons. We also promote the employability of young people in our target group by engaging with public authorities, decision makers and partners.
