The Institute of Internal Auditors Tanzania is affiliated to the Global Institute of Internal Auditors. The Institute of Internal Auditors is a global leader in certification, education, research and technological guidance for the internal audit profession. It is the only institution that provides universally applicable International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing as well as Code of Ethics to promote an ethical culture in the profession of internal auditing.
IIA Tanzania is a professional institute which brings together internal audit practitioners and interested parties in internal audit in Tanzania as members.
Since 2006, IIA Tanzania has been uniting internal audit practitioners and enthusiasts across Tanzania. Our mission is to raise awareness about the evolving role of internal audit, driving the implementation of the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF). We advocate for the recognition and acceptance of esteemed certifications, including the globally respected Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) credential, and specialized designations like Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA), Certified Government Auditing Practitioner (CGAP), Certification in Risk Management Audit (CRMA), and Qualification in Internal Audit Leadership (QIAL).
