About
RISING is a festival of new art, music, and performance, in the heart of Naarm/Melbourne. RISING takes place each winter and is Victoria's major cultural event. The festival returns 30 May—09 June 2025.
In the first weeks of winter, RISING lures people out of their homes and onto the streets of Melbourne to mark, interrogate and celebrate a moment in time defined by the artists of today and tomorrow.
RISING's program spans contemporary music, art and performance and gravitates towards artists who traverse multiple artforms, are visionary auteurs and are connected to each other through their themes or influences.
