About

Prepared International (PPI) was founded by experienced international disaster experts during the response to the Nepal Earthquake.
Prepared International observes that people, economies and the environment suffer from increased risks of disaster impact. Climate change results in more frequent and stronger severe weather events, growing population density and food crises. Displacement creates increased vulnerability and risk of conflict. With a growing dependency on (data) technology and supply chains, additional vulnerabilities are introduced in human societies. Inspired by the Sustainable Development goals, the Climate Change agreement and the Sendai framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, PPI contributes to a sustainable and safer world for all.

A range of customers from the United Nations, World Bank and the Council of Europe to the European Union and national agencies to city administrations and corporations, have relied on our services.

Many of our experts are UN Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC) country representatives for UN-OCHA or EU Civil Protection Team members.
The focus of Prepared International is to save lives and protect investments by mitigating risks and strengthening preparedness and response capacity.
