About
Qingdao Amerasia International School (QAIS) inspires a lifelong love of learning with a child-centred learning approach. Children benefit immensely from immersion into an English-speaking environment for students aged 1.5 to 18 years. Instruction at QAIS provides reading, word study/vocabulary development, writing, English literature, math, science, social studies, art, theatre, music, physical education, technology, health, Korean and Mandarin Chinese.
QAIS is the only International Baccalaureate World School in Shandong Province, China, to achieve authorization for the full IB Continuum of the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme. It is also the only AMS Montessori accredited school in Asia.
Our dedicated international team of teachers ensure that students' needs are met through an approach that accommodates multiple abilities and styles of learning. The blend of Montessori and IB keeps students engaged while developing confidence, balance, compassion and courage.
