About

Sanaag University was established in January 2009, with the approval of the Higher Education Commission. The university has become a key comprehensive university in the Sanaag region, offering programs covering extensive disciplines in agriculture and animal science, health science, law, ICT,BPA, social work, Islamic studies, master programs in agribusiness, & public health nutrition, and the recently established Institute of Peace & Conflict Studies.
the University consists of three campuses with study facilities (labs, demoframs)

The university is active in developing regional academic exchange and cooperation. so far SU has established cooperative relationship with over 20 universities from Europe, Canada, Africa, and other countries and regions,

The University is committed to public services and continuously engages in seminars/trainings and awareness-raising activities in areas of nutrition & food security, peace building and conflict reconciliation, gender empowerment & protection, Human rights, environmental conservation & climate change
