About
Shaoor Foundation for Education and Awareness (SFEA) is a non-profit civil society organization committed to fostering positive societal change through capacity building and community engagement. Registered under Section 42 of the Companies Act with the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), SFEA operates in the domains of Peace Building and Countering Violent Extremism, Democracy and Governance, Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, and Climate Resilience and Sustainability. With a dedicated team of researchers and associates, SFEA has expanded its reach to over 100+ districts, 100+ universities, and 50+ religious seminaries, completing 30+ projects with over 150,000+ beneficiaries. Leveraging a network of over 1,000+ Salamati and Tafheem fellows and student volunteers from peace societies, SFEA engages diverse communities across Pakistan. Strategic partnerships with local civil society organizations further enhance SFEA's ability to mobilize resources and implement impactful programs nationwide.
For over 14 years, SFEA has engaged stakeholders like elected representatives, legislators, and youth, leveraging our expertise in development and communication. Our flexible approach ensures impactful initiatives in complex landscapes, guided by accountability. We have successfully collaborated with esteemed organizations such as the United States Embassy Islamabad, USAID, USIP, Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), National Endowment for Democracy (NED), Search for Common Ground, and Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI).
Shaoor Foundation also proudly maintains formal partnerships with over 30 local governmental and non-governmental institutions, including the National Assembly of Pakistan, National Counter Terrorism Authority Pakistan (NACTA), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), Paigham e Pakistan, and Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS).
