The Tolkien Society

About

The Tolkien Society is an educational charity, literary society and worldwide fan club devoted to promoting the life and works of the late Professor J.R.R. Tolkien CBE, author of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Founded in 1969, J.R.R. Tolkien is the Society's Honorary President in perpetuo with his daughter, Priscilla Tolkien, as the Society's Vice-president.

Members of the Society get the following benefits:
- Being a part of an international fellowship of Tolkien fans;
- 6 issues of "Amon Hen" (our A5 magazine) per year;
- 1 edition of "Mallorn" (our glossy A4 journal) per year;
- Access to the Society's physical and digital archives;
